For independent auto repair shops

Remote service writers
for auto repair shops.

A remote partner for estimate preparation, warranty calls, fleet coordination, and customer approval support—so your on-site team can focus on vehicles and customers.

For shops without a dedicated advisor and teams that need back-office support. On-site responsibilities stay with your shop.

The work behind the work

Give the back office a partner.

Different kinds of work get stuck in different places. Dottie brings them into an agreed remote workflow, with a clear handoff back to your shop.

Remote service writing

Turn technician findings into plain-English repair recommendations, then review the details before they reach the customer.

Clarity before the handoff

Useful checks.
Not another black box.

The workflow is designed to keep the customer’s concern, inspection findings, and shop rules in view.

  • Address each finding instead of overlooking it.
  • Check recent service before repeating a recommendation.
  • Review shared labor and explain the estimate clearly.

Remote support.
Your shop’s authority.

Dottie can support the remote part of an advisor’s role. It does not replace your technicians’ judgment or the person handling vehicles at your shop.

Review the service scope
  • Your shop retains physical intake, keys, and vehicle handoffs.
  • Your team defines pricing rules and approval authority.
  • Coverage and workload are agreed before service starts.
  • Warranty administrators and fleets retain their own authorization decisions.

Questions before you start

Let’s make the fit clear.

Start with what you want to delegate—not a promise that one package does everything.

Is this software, a remote team, or both?

The proposed pilot combines remote service-writing support with the Dottie workflow platform. Your consultation defines the actual services, access, and capacity available to your shop.

Can Dottie replace a service advisor?

Dottie can support agreed remote advisor tasks. Your shop still needs someone for physical intake, keys, and vehicle handoffs. Phone answering, appointments, checkout, and after-hours work require an explicit scope.

Can I sign up and pay online?

Not currently. Send a consultation request by email. Coverage, pricing terms, and onboarding are confirmed before enrollment. The app login is for provisioned users—not public registration.
